Know exactly which channel made the phone ring.

Call tracking is on our roadmap. We're building it so Australian tradies can finally see which ads, pages, and listings are driving real phone calls — and stop spending money on channels that don't deliver.

What we're building
Dynamic number insertion per channel Planned
Unique local tracking numbers Planned
Call recording Planned
Source attribution dashboard Planned
Missed-call SMS alerts Planned
CRM integration Planned

Your phone rings. You have no idea which ad, page, or listing sent that customer. That's a solvable problem.

Most tradies run a mix of marketing — Google Ads, Facebook, a Google Business Profile, maybe Yelp or a directory. When a customer calls, there's no way to tell which channel they came from. So when it's time to cut a budget or double down somewhere, it's just a guess.

Call tracking fixes this by assigning a different phone number to each marketing channel. Each number forwards to your existing business line, so customers notice nothing unusual. But behind the scenes, every call gets tagged with the source — you can see exactly which channel made the phone ring.

That data changes how you spend money. If Google Ads is driving 70% of your calls and Facebook Ads is driving 5%, that's not a hunch anymore — it's a clear decision. You stop paying for channels that look busy but don't deliver real phone calls.

You don't need more marketing. You need to know which marketing is actually working.

Beyond ad spend, call data also helps you catch missed calls faster. If a lead calls while you're on a job and nobody answers, you get an alert with the caller's number and which channel they came from — so you can call them back before they've already booked your competitor.

What we're planning to build

These are the features on the call tracking roadmap. Nothing below is live today — we'll update this page and notify interested tradies when it's available.

Dynamic Number Insertion

A script on your website that swaps your displayed phone number based on how a visitor arrived — Google Ads, organic, social, referral. Each source shows a different number. Customers still dial a normal local number — the attribution happens invisibly.

Tracking Numbers Per Channel

Each marketing channel will get its own local tracking number that routes to your main business line. Google Ads, Facebook, Yelp, your email signature, flyers — every channel gets attributed. Your customers dial a local number; you get the call plus the source.

Coming soon

Call Recording

Planned to record inbound calls so you can review lead quality, identify common questions, and understand what customers say when they first reach out. Will include pre-call disclosure to satisfy Australian telecommunications regulations.

Coming soon

Attribution Dashboard

A dashboard showing calls by source, answer rates, missed calls, and call volume over time. Filter by channel or date range. The goal: stop making marketing decisions by gut feel and start making them from actual call data.

Coming soon

Missed-Call SMS Alerts

When a lead calls and you don't answer, you'd get an SMS within seconds — caller number, the channel they came from, time of call. So you can call back immediately rather than losing a hot lead to the next tradie on the list.

Coming soon

CRM Integration

Planned integration with the TradesPro Lead Capture CRM so that call data — source channel, caller ID, duration — logs automatically against the right lead record. No manual entry, no attribution lost when a phone call becomes a booked job.

Questions about call tracking

What we know now, and what's still being built.

Will this be included in the $30/month plan?+
We haven't finalised pricing for call tracking. We'll publish it before launch. If you're interested, get in touch and we'll let you know when pricing is confirmed.
How does dynamic number insertion work?+
A small JavaScript snippet on your website detects how a visitor arrived — from a Google Ad, organic search, a social post, a referral link — and swaps the phone number displayed on the page to match that source. The customer dials a normal local number. The number forwards to your real business line. The system records which channel prompted the call. Your customers notice nothing different; you get the attribution data.
Is call recording legal in Australia?+
Yes, with proper disclosure. The standard approach is a pre-call announcement that plays before the call connects, notifying the caller that the call may be recorded. This satisfies Australian telecommunications regulations under the Telecommunications (Interception and Access) Act. State-specific laws vary slightly — we'll include guidance when this feature launches.
When will call tracking be available?+
We don't have a confirmed launch date yet. If you're interested in being notified when it's ready, reach out via the contact page and we'll send you a heads-up before the public launch.
What features are already live in TradesPro?+
The core TradesPro platform includes your trade website, local SEO, Google Business Profile management, content engine, lead capture CRM, review automation, and referral system — all included for $30/month. Call tracking is planned for a future release. See the full features list at /features/.
